Touch down in Venice airport, meet your host and transfer one hour north to the Agriturismo La Bella, nestled in the foothills of the idyllic Prosecco Hills. Despite being awarded UNESCO status in 2019, this area remains off the radar for many and is a world away from busy Venice, preserving a special and authentic rural charm. Relax into the serene surroundings before meeting up with your fellow adventurers and your guide for a chat about the next few days. Join your agriturismo's host and chef, Elisa, for a short stroll around the farm, before tucking into an organic farm-to-table dinner expertly cooked by her. Set in for a good night's sleep ahead of the explorations starting tomorrow.

    Day 2

Hike terraced vineyards and taste the bubbles

Your first hike starts right from your doorstep, leading towards one of the most charming corners of the Prosecco Hills. Follow a gravel path which climbs to the top of San Gallo Hill, once the site of a medieval castle, then head deeper into the iconic terraced hills, with scenic views of green valleys dotted with little villages at your feet. You'll stop for lunch in a panoramic spot, where you'll meet a renowned local wine producer who will guide you through the history and the wine-growing traditions of this rich landscape. Enjoy a delicious light lunch paired with some of the best Prosecco varieties of the area, before heading back to your agriturismo in the afternoon. Tonight you may join your guide and group for another great dinner experience in a local restaurant in the nearby village of Follina.

Hang up your boots this morning, as you'll leave the agriturismo on the saddle of your e-bike instead, cycling quiet back roads to the ancient mill of Molinetto della Croda, a lovely example of 16th-century rustic architecture hidden away in an idyllic spot. From here, tackle a 4km steep climb to the enchanting hilltop hamlet of Rolle, but thanks to your e-bike the ascent will feel smooth and manageable! Pedal along, surrounded by lush hills that open up to breathtaking panoramic views, before freewheeling down to the shores of Revine Lake for a picnic, a well-earned rest and a cool swim (optional; in season). Continue via the charming villages of Cison di Valmarino and Follina and finish with an exciting ride up and down the winding roads of Combai, before returning to your agriturismo in the afternoon. Tonight, you may choose to refuel with some well-deserved pizza and an Aperol spritz with your group!

Fuel up on breakfast then take a short morning transfer to the little village of Santo Stefano, an important local wine-making centre. Next, set off on foot climbing to the village hillside which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, venturing deeper through lines of endlless vineyards and soaking up the stunning views of the Piave River and Montello Hill on one side, Valdobbiadene and the rising Prealps on the other. Stop for refreshments at Osteria Senz’Oste – a restored three-storey farmhouse, built at the end of the nineteenth century, which offers arguably the most stunning view over the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. For lunch, you'll be welcomed by Pietrovecchio Winery, where you'll enjoy an indulgent wine-tasting session before being transferred back to your hotel.

Trip level explained

Level 2

Easy-Moderate

Anyone in good health, with avarage fitness levels and able to hike for a few hours each day will be fine on this trip. The elevation gain is easy to moderate, up to 500m up and down each day, with some short, steep ascents and undulating routes which will get the heart pumping at times. However, the going is leisurely with plenty of stops to enjoy the views. The terrain and path type will vary from paved tracks to forest trails and dirt roads. The trip also includes a scenic ride on e-bikes – bicycles with battery-powered assistance that comes via pedalling. The route will include some steep uphill sections, winding roads and easy gravel paths, but your e-bike will give you an extra push if you struggle with the climbs so you should find it easier than expected! No previous experience is needed, but you must feel comfortable on two wheels.

Please note that heatwaves and heavy rains are possible (especially during the summer months of Jul-Aug) so the overall weather conditions may increase the intensity of the trip. If you don't exercise regularly or you don't have much experience with hillwalking, please consider factoring in some training beforehand to make the experience more enjoyable.

What will I need to carry?

You'll need to have a larger bag suitable for all your belongings which will remain at the agriturismo and then a small daysack to carry personal items during each day of hiking.

Climate Factors To Consider

This trip visits locations where daytime temperatures can be extremely high during the times of year when this trip operates. High humidity and limited access to shade can also be factors, and warm temperatures can continue into the nighttime, which additionally influence the body’s ability to cool down. Personal care should be taken to keep as cool as possible in the conditions, such as wearing appropriate clothing and proper hydration. Very high temperatures can impair an individual’s physical abilities to perform an activity that they may otherwise be able to do competently at cooler temperatures. People may experience symptoms associated with dehydration and Heat Stroke. Your guide(s) are trained to mitigate the risks associated with high temperatures, by carefully managing the intensity of the activity, and to provide the appropriate support response should someone feel ill during the trip. Should you experience health issues during your trip you should inform your guide immediately so the proper care can be provided.

My friends and I had a wonderful time with our group and our guide Vania. It was so much more than what I expected. The hikes were awesome and the wine tastings amazing. Vania brought us to the best places and we learned so much about prosecco. The agriturismo where we stayed was just perfect — a great place to regroup and recharge. The chef and staff were very accomodating to my gluten free diet (celiac). Highly recommend!

Four friends and I did a 50th birthday trip to Italy. We went on the hiking, biking, Prosecco tour and it could not have been better! Vania, our tour guide was knowledgeable, organized, funny, and did so many little things that made it extra special. The gorgeous through vineyards and little towns, the fabulous restaurants, and the never ending Prosecco were nothing short of amazing. Also, Andrea, the gentleman who led our bike tour was the sweetest, most patient man I could have hoped for because I am not a bike rider and had a lot of anxiety going into it. He made me feel so at ease and well supported & I feel so accomplished for doing it! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It was a truly one in a lifetime, amazing adventure!

Brilliant tour, some challenging walks, an excellent day on a bike and a great bunch, good laughs and memories, the only bloke on the tour but all good, the best bit was Vania the tour leader, she was excellent, very knowledgable and a good laugh, thanks Vania and to our host at the accommodations Elisa, very well done x

Our guide Marta was amazing. She truly wanted us to enjoy the region. La Bella was wonderful. Their sparkling is my FAV! Since MBA is a Bcorp, I would have loved to have things subtly highlighted that MBA/La Bella is doing to keep a lower carbon footprint. The meals were wonderful. Loved the little surprises we had (ie the wine vending machine)

Brilliant adventure! Beautiful scenery and spring flowers. La Bella Agriturismo so friendly and relaxed. Super group of 8 and fabulous Marta leading us. 10 out of 10

Fantastic trip with a great group of ladies. Beautiful accomodation and food. Vania was an amazing guide - very knowledgeable, witty, accommodating. First time e-biking and loved it. The hikes were great, a few shortish steep bits. Sampling prosecco from a stocked dispenser in a vineyard was a first and very welcome in the drizzle. Final hike switched to plan B due to weather and was probably the best day - sampled prosecco in a cafe and then visited a monastery. The trip exceeded my expectations. Time to step up to some level 3 trips

I had a fantastic time. It was my first time doing a solo holiday and it was great being with other solo travellers. We were an all female group. Vania, our guide, was superb. She was very entertaining, helpful and professional. She managed to maintain a great pace throughout all activities and no one felt left out. The hikes were great (steep in places but nothing too awful) and the e-biking was great fun. The agriturismo was beautiful and the staff so friendly. Comfy beds and lots of hot water. All the restaurants we went to were fabulous and the wine tasting was sublime. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! 10/10 definitely 😊

The host at the farmhouse was so helpful and our guide Vania was fabulous.

This trip is excellent and I would highly recommend. Vania is a fantastic host with so much energy, she is approachable, adaptable and fun. The mix of hiking and biking is great and you get to see so much of the Prosecco hills. We had a great group of people. Fantastic trip. So well organised and the restaurants and places we went were fabulous. Amazing hikes and beautiful scenery. Vania our guide was brilliant ! She was so knowledgable and such fun! Alissa at the agriturismo made us so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. It was a real escape , we laughed, we hiked and had amazing food and wine tastings . The Prosecco vending machine in the hills was fab. . Highly recommend !

    Betina C. April 2026
What a fantastisk combo of exercise, beautifull scenary and excellent Prosecco. But the best part might have been the group’s company. Laughed so much during the trip - and not only because of the Prosecco. The program for the week was really good and varied.
  • Exceptional fun, an incredible experience.

    Natalie C. April 2026
On a trip like this, the group and the guide set the scene, and in this case: both were exceptional. The accommodation, activities and everything were just perfect for a week of challenging hiking activity, seeing the Prosecco hills, learning about Prosecco, but most uniquely and importantly enjoying this incredible UNESCO listed region: like a local (thanks to our excellent guide, Vania). This is the real Italy. Thankyou, what a week, experiences I will always treasure.
  • More than just an adventure

    Alison P. November 2025
I cannot recommend this trip enough. Went with 2 friends and met a bunch of lovely people. The food, drink and scenery was incredible. Plenty of exercise each day so I would say you need a reasonable level of fitness to keep up. Our guide was Marta and she was lovely. Would not hesitate to recommend this trip or indeed the company. Value for money. We will be booking one of their other trips.
  • Prosecco Hills with Vania

    Amanda F. November 2025
What an amazing experience my sister and I had on our adventure hiking the Prosecco Hills. We met lovely new people who quickly became friends, hiked and biked, ate delicious food, and oh how the Prosecco flowed every evening upon our return back to the farmhouse. Vania, our guide was a ray of sunshine! Always smiling and truly made our trip memorable. I will always remember "Andiamo" "are we ready". She was informative and always made sure she interacted with everyone. I loved that she cared and wanted everyone to have fun. The weather wasn't always sunny but we made our own sunshine. I'm looking forward to the next hike and hope to meet up with some of our Prosecco family.
  • My experience was truly MORE than expected… MORE fun, MORE delicious, MORE friendly, MORE interesting, and definitely MORE challenging.

    Heather W. October 2025
From our first WhatsApp messages to our in-person meeting, our group just clicked. Learning about each other and discovering commonalities led to genuine friendships. Encouraging shouts and peals of laughter echoed through the hills despite, or because of the inclines, and even early breakfasts became moments of connection over espressos. This group was certainly MORE in every way. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and homely - not just “MORE than expected”, truly outstanding. The people we encountered (mini bus drivers, e-bike guide, the oenologist, and all the wonderful women at La Belle Agriturismo were MORE learned, MORE fluent, MORE engaging and MORE patient - always ready with a laugh or a helping hand and even indulgent of foreigners wanting to help shell the roasted chestnuts - we left with both knowledge and bottles. There are so many descriptors for Vania who was so much MORE than a guide: a cheerleader, an inspiration, and a source of empowerment. She led us with enthusiasm, kindness and generosity, never judgment, and brought a wicked sense of humour that made every moment memorable. Vania gave MORE than anticipated in every way, and her presence made the experience unforgettable. Showcasing her home region and providing us with a glimpse of the wonders to be found in the prosecco hills and pre-Alps, she is MORE than a gem, she is jewel. If life is made of moments, this trip was a mosaic of MORE - MORE laughter, MORE flavour, MORE beauty, and MORE soul. It was MORE than I ever imagined, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Stop considering and start packing. It was MORE than a trip; it was a journey of connection, discovery, and joy. Whether you're seeking adventure, culture, or simply a deeper kind of travel, this is the kind of experience that stays with you. I recommend it to anyone ready for something truly unforgettable, something MORE. Heather W - Hike, E-Bike and Wine in Italy's Prosecco Hills - October 18-23, 2025 (last trip of the season)
  • An absolute must!

    Erica P. October 2025
The ‘Prosecco hills’ isn’t just a catchy name to get you on the trip, they really are The Prosecco Hills, home to Prosecco!! Our trip was expertly organised, by an expert guide, with Prosecco experts at every stop. From airport pick up to airport drop off all ran smoothly. Our guide Vania was outstanding. Funny, thoughtful, polite she really was excellent. Each day was reviewed the night before, so we were prepared. It’s fair to say that each trek had a challenging ‘slope’ to climb, but she made sure everyone got to rest at the top, not just those that got there first. The region is stunning… accepting that October may be slightly less sunny, and so some views disappear into the cloud. But this just added to the experience. Hands up who has ever used a Prosecco vending machine!! I have. And the fact that the accommodation had Prosecco in a ‘help yourself fridge’ with an honesty box for payment demonstrates how friendly and trusting the people of the area are.

What can I say. . . . . Vania was the perfect guide, we had a really fabulous time. The group all got on well, Vania managed the tour with great skill and good humour, it would have been a totally different trip without her. The pace was perfect, we enjoyed different areas of the Prosseco hills, loved tasting the Prosecco, lovely views and walks and the cycling run by Andrea was lots of fun too. I will definitely look in to booking another adventure with MBA.
  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing experience!

    Lynda G. October 2025
This trip was everything I hoped for — and so much more. Our guide, Vania, was absolutely fantastic! She was full of fun, laughter, and had an incredible depth of knowledge about the area. Every single day, she went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable, supported, and included — and she was a total lifesaver for me during the e-bike day! From the moment we arrived at the farmhouse, we were made to feel completely at home by both Vania and our wonderful host, Elisa. Elisa was as kind and welcoming as her food was delicious — always smiling, always gracious, and her pasta… oh my goodness, unforgettable! The views were breathtaking, the organization was spot-on, and the whole experience was pure joy from start to finish. What made it even more special was the group itself — 13 strangers who, by the end of the trip, had become true travel friends. If you’re thinking about doing it — go for it! You’ll come home with tired legs, a happy heart, and memories to last a lifetime. :bottle_popping_cork::woman-biking:🌿

What a fabulous week in the Prosecco Hills! It was a wonderful group that quickly made friends. The planned hikes and bikes were beautiful (and the right level). Vania was a FABULOUS guide. Plus! A Prosecco vending machine stop? Amazing! Five stars all around!

Absolutely beautiful trip! We lucked out because we had the best group ever. We all got along so well and had so much fun together. Our leader, Vania, was fabulous--fun, energetic, knowledgeable, and so easy-going. Truly a trip I will always remember!

  • Stunning views and great prosecco

    Joanne M. October 2025
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, particularly the last day of walking in the mountains was just beautiful, and as a complete beginner I really had fun doing the e-biking. The whole week was a great way to explore a place I wouldn't have been able to myself, especially the prosecco vending machine buried high in the hills! Vania our guide was fantastic, entertaining, and made sure we were thoroughly briefed on the itinerary for the next day. For looking like quite a rustic farmhouse, the agriturismo was smart and comfortable, with very comfy beds and powerful showers! Had some really lovely pasta dishes throughout, the restaurants chosen for the nights that weren't included were great. We visited a lovely vineyard on the third day for a proper tasting session, which was interesting to learn about the process making prosecco. Good fun group with a mix of ages and nationalities, and a lovely balance of being active and tasting prosecco made for a fab holiday - I will definitely book another MBA trip

  • Amazing trip

    Claire C. October 2025
This was my first trip with MBA but definitely not my last! I booked this trip solo and had a fantastic time with a lovely group and Vania, who was our wonderful guide. The activities were fun and well-paced, in beautiful surroundings. Vania was very professional and gave a thorough briefing each evening so we knew what to expect the following day. There are a few steep ascents but plenty of rest time to recoup and continue. If you are a frequent walker, you will be fine. My favourite activity was the hike on the last day - gorgeous views! - closely followed by the biking. The farmhouse where we stayed was run by the lovely Elisa. The restaurant had fresh, delicious food and the showers in the rooms were excellent. This was my seventh time visiting Italy and it was so nice to feel like a local, having an authentic experience of life in a beautiful region. Vania made sure we all had a lot of fun and my group were all lovely, kind people. If you're thinking of booking, go for it.

This trip is amazing! I’ve always wanted to hike and sip wine in the Italian countryside and this was it! Vania was a fantastic guide and made us feel like we could conquer anything. The agriturismo, La Bella, was a great location and Elisa prepared delicious dishes. I met a great group of people and they helped make it a once in a lifetime experience.

FAQs

Marta Marinelli, raised in Italy’s serene Prosecco Hills, dreamt of global adventures, inspired by her father's travel stories. Her passion evolved into a career, backed by a decade of studies including degrees in international tourism and destination management. She’s worked in the adventure travel sector since 2012, living in Italy, the UK, and now sunny Portugal.

Over twenty years, Marta has explored over 55 countries, visiting remote areas like Ghana, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Haiti and Nepal’s Upper Mustang region. As a Senior Adventure Expansion Manager at Much Better Adventures, she focuses on creating life-changing experiences, ranging from multi-activity adventures, challenging treks to ultimate adventures in iconic places. She loves the challenge of finding the best local adventure hosts around the world, collaborating on adventures that offer genuine immersion, pushing beyond the beaten path and working on exclusive itineraries that challenge your comfort zone.

What makes her tick? Enabling people to live adventure-rich lives while positively impacting and empowering local communities around the world, generating sustainable opportunities for both the host, guides, community, and the environment.

The tap water is safe to drink. Please bring along your own reusable water bottle to fill up at the agriturismo or public fountains to avoid buying single use plastic bottles.

If bad weather affects any of the activities your local guide will deviate to a more sheltered part of the hills for alternative hikes, or may decide to swap around the order of the program.

This trip operates in areas where daytime temperatures can reach extreme highs, where limited shade and high humidity can also be a factor. These conditions can affect physical performance and increase the risk of dehydration or heat-related illness. Your guide will adjust the pace and monitor the group closely, but hydration, proper clothing, and sun protection are essential.

Before travelling, consider your ability to be active in high temperatures and consult a medical professional if you have concerns – especially if you have any cardiovascular or heat-sensitive conditions. Arriving a day or two prior to the trip may help you adjust gradually to the heat.

Sure can! Over 70% of our travellers travel solo, it’s a great way to meet like-minded people.

Our team of Adventure Hunters co-create exclusive adventures which are run by highly vetted, specialist hosts. The trip is run by our trusted host partner in the destination. We only work with independent, local, in-destination experts who know the very best places to explore and how to stay safe. Read more information about the local teams we partner with. You’ll be introduced to the host straight after making a booking via the Much Better Adventures platform.

Much Better Adventures refer to the UK Government’s official travel advice when designing trips and monitoring trip operations. We recommend that all customers are familiar with the practical information provided on the Government’s FCDO website, where current travel advice can be found by searching for the applicable destination(s).

For customers joining this trip from other international destinations – please also read the official travel advice applicable to your country of residence/origin, as this may differ.

We recommend checking out the country-specific information and also talking to a travel nurse.

We automatically convert prices from the local currency that a host receives to your chosen currency. We update our exchange rates on a daily basis so this does mean that prices displayed on the site are subject to currency fluctuations, which is why you may see them change over time.

If you wish to change the currency you pay in, head to the bottom of the page.

All of our group adventures are specially designed for adults to enjoy as we want these adventures to bring together outdoorsy people who are truly like-minded. You must be over 18 to join one of our trips.

You're always in good company on one of our adventures.

Our trips are typically made up of a mixture of solo travellers and small groups of 2 or 3 friends, with most in their 30s-50s.

Our sociable adventures are solo-friendly by design and naturally attract outdoorsy people with a shared mindset; a love for adventure, a desire to push themselves and meet awesome, like-minded people along the way.

It’s this camaraderie that has so often turned a great adventure into a life-changing one.

Don't just take our word for it:

  • 95% of people rate the group dynamics on our trips 5/5
  • 90% of people recommend joining a trip to make new friends
  • 75% of people have met people on our trips that they would now consider friends

During springtime between April and May the Prosecco Hills region usually enjoys mild temperatures averaging 18-23°C, although nights are always a bit cooler. The summer months tend to be hot and humid, with temperatures in July-August going up to 30-35°C. Although hiking will feel a bit more challenging due to the sun, this is when the landscape is the greenest and lushest, with vines in full bloom just before their September harvest. In October, temperatures are still very pleasant for walking, with trees starting to dress with spectacular colours from dark green to yellow. In summary, every season is great to visit the Prosecco Hills, with the only exception of winter when harsh freezing temperatures make hiking less favourable and the landscape quite bare.

Rain is possible at any time of year and climate change has made seasons a little more unpredictable than usual. Occasionally, summer storms with heavy rain and strong winds can occur. Take layered clothing to adjust to the changing temperatures and something warm for the cooler evenings if travelling in spring and autumn.

We partner with the World Land Trust to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre programme, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity.

What's the number?
It works out on average at 164kg of CO2 emissions per person, including all local transport, accommodation, food, activities, guides, staff and office operations.

The only thing it doesn’t include right now is flights and travel to the destination. We do make an overall estimate across all our customers separately, but as we don’t book flights, have customers from all corners of the world, and no way of reliably knowing their travel plans, we simply can’t include an individual number in the figure on display here. We’ve got a goal to fix that, so that when you book, there is a way to measure and mitigate the carbon emitted by your flight too.

But what does the number mean?
Yep, hard to picture eh? To give you an idea:

  • Driving 1000 miles/1609km would be approximately 281kg of CO2 in an average car (or 140.5kg per person, if there were two of you in it).
  • A return economy class flight between London and New York would be approximately 1619kg (1.66 tonnes) per person.
  • 10 trees in a temperate forest are estimated to remove approximately 250kg of CO2 from the air in a period of 5-10 years.

What are we doing about it?
Our trips are relatively low-carbon by design, and we're working with all our hosts to develop long term carbon reduction plans. We partner with the World Land Trust to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre programme, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity, ensuring the protection of the reserve and its wildlife.

Want to know more?
Amazingly, no international travel company has ever publicly published their carbon measurements before, as far as we know. We believe that must change, quickly. So we’re openly sharing the method we used in the hope that other companies will be able to more easily follow suit and build on what we've done so far. You'll find it all here.
